Websites Project Manager – 2022

Trillium is searching for a Website Project Manager.

Our ideal Website Project Manager will lead our transit Website team, manage our WordPress developers, lead client meetings, manage client expectations, ensure that projects remain within scope, delegate tasks and timelines to the team, and assist with outreach and website sales. 

This position will report to our General Manager and work with two Website Developers and a Website Support Technician. Our ultimate goal is to better support our website team to work with clients in decision making and expectations, and guide the team in building new websites, help maintain our existing portfolio of 30+ sites and plugins and lead the team in progressing our base theme to allow us to provide many new state-of-the-art transit websites at an accelerated pace.

Website Project Manager Required Qualifications:

• Familiarity with WordPress, its functions tools and deployment features.
• Familiarity with user analytics 
• Minimum two years of management experience
• Experience in leading teams to creating new processes and efficiencies
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Experience communicating with clients
• Minimum of one year experience managing projects to completion
• Interest and enjoyment in teamwork, proven ability to mentor developers with varying experience levels, and ability to collaborate with colleagues and contractors on projects as requested
• Willingness and ability to learn new skills and technologies and keep up with best practices in security and accessibility within web development.
• Ability to multitask without missing a beat across multiple projects, clients and platforms
• Ability to effectively work on your own, with a team, and with customers

Websites Project Manager Preferred Qualifications:

Any of the following skills will be helpful in this position. Applicants who do not have all experience are encouraged to apply. 

• Understanding of responsive, mobile-first design
• Familiarity with web accessibility best practices and WCAG 2.1
• Committed to writing clean documentation
• Knowledge of general design principles
• Active interest and knowledge of new trends and technologies in WordPress

• Meeting facilitation skills
• Project management experience
• Business development experience

Website Project Manager Education 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in development, communications, business, or similar/relevant field or equal years of relevant industry experience.

Project Examples

The candidate may be asked to provide examples of past website work for the team to review after completion of an introductory interview. 

Schedule

Trillium supports a very flexible work environment. We expect employees to work approximately 40 hours/week, but the timing of those hours can vary. We are all currently working remotely, but when it is safe we expect employees to work from our downtown Portland office on certain Thursdays from about 11am-2pm, as needed for meetings, and for another 4 hour regular block of time that they choose. Compensation and Benefits

We provide PTO, health insurance (100% paid for employees), ability to contribute to a 401k after 12 months and 3% employer contribution, and all Portland-area public transit expenses paid. Compensation depends upon experience, but the expected salary range for this position is  $75,000 – $85,000 per year.
