Trillium Solutions, Inc. (“Trillium”) provides technical and consulting services to transit agencies (“Agencies”). This trip-planning form (“Trip Planner Form”) is one of these services, and is provided to assist you in using the Agency’s transit options to reach your desired destination.
Trillium collects some of the information you enter and information associated with your use of this Trip Planner Form. This policy (“Policy”) overviews the types of data Trillium may collect and how that data is used so that you can make an informed decision about using this Trip Planner Form.
When you use one of Trillium’s Trip Planner Forms, we collect the information you enter (“Information Entered”): starting and destination address, departure and arrival times, and other preferences you indicate (such as walking distance and transfers). We also automatically collect your IP address, the time of inquiry, and an identifier that shows us which Trip Planner Form was used (“Automatic Information”).
When you use this Trip Planner Form, Trillium collects the Information Entered and forwards it to Google Maps to calculate your trip based on your parameters. You can find Google’s Privacy Policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
We also collect and store the Information Entered and the Automatic Information and use this data to analyze Trip Planner Form use and provide data and feedback to the Agency. Trillium may use the data collected in aggregate in marketing and/or educational materials and provide it to our own employees in the course of normal business.
It is not our goal to use information to identify any individual or to track individual site use. Our purpose in collecting this information is to provide transit agencies with data on where and how their riders are trying to travel, so that agencies can better serve their riders. However, information like IP addresses can be considered personally identifying information.
In order to facilitate the trip-planning function of the Trip Planner Form, Trillium shares the Information Entered with Google Maps.
Trillium may provide data collected to the Agency and/or any of the Agency’s contractors associated with the Trip Planner Form that was used.
We may also use the data collected in aggregate, with identifying information removed, in marketing materials, and/or in combination with data collected from other Trip Planner Forms to analyze use and trends.
Excluding sharing information with the Agency and its contractors, Trillium will not sell any information collected to third parties.
Trillium stores the information collected through use of this Trip Planner Form on a secure server. This server is only accessible by Trillium employees.
Trillium has no policy of automatically deleting data after a certain period. This is because Trillium uses this data to evaluate patterns and trends and it is useful to be able to see this type of information over a period of time. If you would like your data to be removed, you will need to contact us at [email protected]. See the section “Withdrawal of Consent” below for more information.

We may need to ask you some follow up questions about your use of the Trip Planner Form to correctly identify the data that needs to be removed. This could include requesting identifying information such as your home address.
If, after emailing us, you begin using the Trip Planner Form again, this will be considered explicit consent to start collecting information again.
